PSCA Diversity Taskforce

Goal Statement:

            In keeping with the mission of the Pennsylvania School Counselors Association, to promote excellence in professional school counseling, the goal of the PSCA Diversity Taskforce is to address the current needs of school counselors as they relate to students, community, and to society.

 

Objectives : 

q       To create a mission statement and vision for the Taskforce.

q       To disseminate the Diversity Taskforce Needs Assessment.

q       To facilitate an online Taskforce.

q       To develop a plan of action based upon stated membership need.

q       To establish a Diversity Clearinghouse for the PSCA membership.

Diversity Taskforce Needs Assessment

In an effort to insure that the Diversity Task Force addressed the needs of the membership of the Pennsylvania School Counselors, we ask that counselors respond to the following:

 

  1. What areas of diversity should be addressed by the PSCA Diversity Task Force?

  2. What are the needs of PSCA members as they relate to diversity?

  3. What are the needs of school districts as they relate to diversity?

  4. What activities, programs, or services had your school / district implemented to address issues of diversity? (Please identify your district and a contact if you are willing to accept inquiries.)

  5. What resources have you utilized to address issues of diversity in your school / district? (Please identify your district and a contact if you are willing to accept inquiries.)

  6. Are you willing to serve on the PSCA Diversity Task Force? Please provide your name, email or preferred mailing address, school, school district, location, and grade level.  Please share your interest in being a part of the PSCA Diversity Task Force.
