PSCA Listservs

Every counselor can benefit by joining the PSCA Listservs.  Separate Listservs are available for elementary and secondary counselors, or you may join both, depending on your area of interest.  A listserv allows you to contact a large body of your colleagues to ask questions about counseling practices, to share information about programs, or to conduct research studies.

YOU MUST JOIN THE LISTSERV TO SEND EMAIL TO IT.  The system will not accept an email to the list if you are not a member of the list.  When you join, in the message space insert the single word SUBSCRIBE.  You will then receive a message confirming your registration.

After that you may enter a message by using the address on the links.

To remove yourself from one or both of the Listservs, contact the Join Elementary or Secondary Listservs and in the message space insert the single word UNSUBSCRIBE.

Additionally, you may be interested in following the Elementary Level Listserv run by Barbara Muller-Ackerman, former Elementary level Vice President of ASCA.  It is a great resource.

Elementary School Counselor Listserv:  This listserv is a resource and discussion platform for professional school counselors.  It is designed for those school counselors working with students and families at the elementary school level.  More than a discussion group, this list provides not only the e-mail exchange but also an online community.  The community, housed on yahoogroups, allows archived messaging, resource files on lesson plans, Power Point presentations, forms and documents, links and chat capacity.
